Speed dating活動在香港愈來愈普及，筆者也曾參加過不少大大小小的活動，當中有品質優秀，也有濫竽充數的，因此心中積累了些想法，認為以下數點是構成成功的 Speed Dating 活動。 1. 有良好的主持人 參加Speed dating活動，對很多新手或是內向的人是件緊張事，所以主持人的角色很重要。好的主持人能令參加者放鬆，幫助到他們和其他單身朋友打開話匣子。相反，有些主持人替參加者登記後便坐在一旁，讓人袖手旁觀之感。 2. 舒服的暖身環節 暖身遊戲很重要，可使新相識的人盡快破冰。當中的內容適宜簡單有趣，不宜牽涉參加者的私人感受。當我單身的時候，我曾參加一個speed dating活動，暖身遊戲涉及到參加者透露情史與價值觀。面對陌生人，首次便透露這些資料不是太舒服的。 3. 環境舒適 活動環境很重要，不論活動內容是什麼，也應提供隱私度高的場地，以免令參加者感尷尬。試想像如場地其他顧客能直窺活動一切，參加者是感到多麼不自在呢？另外，場地的燈光與座位設置也很重要，燈光不宜太光，因女性一般不想暴露出皮膚瑕疵，座位與座位間要保留適當位置，以讓參加者感到舒服，轉位時又比較方便。 4. 有效率及保密度高 無論參加前或後，時間對參加者都很重要。登記與付款過程最緊要方便，然後盡快送出活動確認資料以令參加者感放心。完活動後大家則想更快收到配對結果，以免心情七上八落。另外，保密程度也很重要，主辦者切忌在speed dating 期間拍照以作宣傳用。
